Hi, I am a descendent of Doak's from South Strabane twp. in Washington Co, Pa. I lived on the property in question, "Doak's plain" mentioned by David Doak. This property has been in the family since 1732. It was mentioned in Crumrine's history of Western Pa. James Doak was the original settler in 1732. The family was the fifth family to settle in Washington Co. and were often driven by Indians from the land into the town of Washington. I do not have direct information about your Mary. Though that was a family name that shows up frequently in the information I have. My direct heir, Willaim Doak died in 1886 and was probably a brother or cousin of hers. The Henry family mentioned again by David Doak, purchased land from the Doak's around the turn of the 19th century were still living on the land until 1970's and in fact a Robert Henry, undoubtedly a great grandson was a person I visited with many times when I was growing up. If you find more information please let me know. I have better information from the mid-1850's on.
