Doak's Stand, William - Sarah Doak
Posted by: Cathy Phillips Date: December 01, 1999 at 07:02:05
  of 1169

I am trying to find info on William Doak that had the Doak's Stand in Mississippi Territory (Madison Co.). He was suppose to had a daughter named Sarah (Sally) Doak, who married Thomas Fanning.

Records show that Thomas and Sarah were on the 1820-1840 Lincoln Co. Tn. census, then moved to Tx.

A brother of Thomas' (Middleton Fanning Jr.) had a child (Thomas D.) in Mississippi in 1825. Middleton jr. was on the 1820 and 1830 Lincoln Co. Tn. census also.

Wondering if family moved down to present day Madison Co. MS. Thomas Fanning married Sarah (Sally) Doak, then they all moved back to Lincoln Co. Tn.

Any help on this would sure be appreciated. Thank you, Cathy Phillips
