Received today: The Paris News Friday, June 19, 1998 "Red River Region" page 1b an article entitled "Doaksville Cemetery steeped in Civil War history. It tells about Josiah Doak trading with Choctaw nation and the Doakville town at Ft. Towson Indian Terr. the site of last battle of Civil War. It contains an exerpt of Josiah's will to son William H. Doak. The Doak Family moved to an area of REd River Co. TX known as Demple, northwest of Clarksville. I am a possible decendant through Fannie J. Doak b TN January 26, 1826 who married Samuel G. Hays. Send USPS address if interested in copy of news.
