I have information on Stand Waitie and Col. Asa C. Matthews whom Watie surrendered to.We have a display in our museum here at fort towson on both men and Gen. Sam Maxey. There will be a re-enactment in June of 2000 of the surrender here in the area. This will be a 3rd re-enactment. This one will be done by OHS. Hope to have Matthews Great Grandson and Great great Granddaughter as guests of honor. Ghe GR GR Granddaughter is a re-enactor in Sp[ringfield, IL at Lincoln's historic site there. Would like to include an ancestor chart of the Doak/Doaks family in our book to be published. Deadline is 1 June 1998. Thanks marlynn O'Keefe
