I'm trying to find more information on the family of James Doak, who emigrated on the boat "Floridian" 5-24-1847 from Londonderry, Ireland to New York with his family. The ships passenger list has the following names: James Doak, age 49, mechanic; Jane, daughter, age 23; George, son, age 20, mechanic; John, son, age 18; Mary, daughter, age 15; Elizabeth, daughter, age 12; James, son, age 10; Samuel, son, age 7; and James, son, age 1. Since coming to America, the surname spelling changed to "Doke". I have information on George's line, my great great grandfather, who eventually settled in Crawford, Maine, but have nothing on the rest of the family or where they came from in Ireland.
