Samuel Doak - Tennessee

In old Knoxville newspaper of Feb 23, 1793:

Ferry: The subscriber informs the public that he has a ferry established by order of the court of Knox county, at his plantation on Holston [River] about six miles from Knoxville, and four miles from the confluence of French Broad and Holston, where constant attendance will be given. By this ferry, it is the nearest way from Knoxville to Pirkin's iron works, Dumplin and Jefferson court house. Samuel Doak December 26, 1792

I am researching the lines of Samuel, Hugh, and John Beard of Eastern Tn and, by 1800, Adair County, KY. One of them had a daughter who married a "Samuel Doke" in KY. Any help
appreciated.
