Thanks for the reply. From what I have been able to research, the 464x IS most useful for the R1b haplogroup looking for distinct cg combinations. He is indeed a G3a3b1a1a or G-L13, as is his match. They both have the same Peachey surname.
I do find it interesting that Dad went from 4 peaks to 7 or 8. They don't seem to have a very consistent method of reading this marker.
