The only way to know for certain is to test the mtDNA of someone whose mother is descended through an all-female line from her. However, an autosomal test may be able to detect NA, but would not pinpoint the lineage of the ancestor.

The new Geno 2.0 test is apparently sensitive enough to detect NA DNA back to a 4th great grandparent, assuming he/she was 100% NA. However, DNA is inherited randomly from grandparents and earlier ancestors, so it is possible that you did not inherit any DNA from her.

Note that this test also reports Y-DNA and mtDNA haplogroups. It has replaced FTDNA's Y-SNP testing.
