Dr. Turner, Thanks for your answer to my query. My query was premature and I apologize for lack of thought before posting.
An old and on-going genealogy research problem surfaced in that one of my husband's supposed grandmothers came into play again this week."We" thought we could use my husband's SMGF/GeneTree mtDNA to compare with her descendant's FTDNA mtDNA results.
Things were going along great until we got to the point of not being able to work with the markers and so I quickly made my post. Then, we realized that my husband's markers were back thru his mother's Ervin-Herriman-Brown-Murley link rather than through the McKee side and back to the Ramsey grandmother where we needed to be able to make the match.Back to the basics (again).
Although, if you're still here maybe I could go on and ask you about the SMGF results:
Haplogroup U4
16356..C......T
16519..C......T
73G...........A
152C..........T
195C..........T
263G..........A
310--.........T
315.1C........--
499A..........G
524.1A........--
524.2C........--
The hyphens at 310, 315.1C, 524.1A, 524.2C are what is in question. What do they mean and how would you enter them into the search engine to compare with other company markers?
Thanks very much.Linda McKee
