I've thought about your query for a couple of days now. My first reaction was that this entire DNA field is still too young and the area you are referencing (autosomal DNA) is probably the youngest sub-area of all. The entire field is also changing so fast that even the scientists involved are no doubt having a difficult time keeping up with many aspects of it, although I'm sure that many non-scientists may fool themselves by thinking they _are_ keeping up. I don't care to fool myself. In other words, count me out on this one: I just don't know enough! Besides, I'm suspicious of rumors phrased as that one is: to my mind, it reeks of faulty logic.
