The seige of Constantinople happened during the Fourth Crusade. But there were several Crusades, all of which involved Norman, German, French, and other Europeans traveling through Greek areas. Her ancestor could've come during that period, or as a refugee from Jerusalem after it was conquered again by the Muslims. Guy de Lusignan, the former king of Jerusalem, ruled Cyprus and imported a lot of people to settle there.
