Lyn,
If your son is an Elliott, then by all means you are welcome to join us.
When I spoke about Family Tree DNA sending your son's results to your own personal web page, I meant that Family Tree DNA will post your results on a private web page on their server.Access to that web page will require a password, which will be sent to you by e-mail.I also will be able to review your DNA Results page, since I am the Group Administrator, but no one else will have access.
Once your son's results are published on your web page, I will integrate those results into my Border Reiver DNA web pages - but I will use only your son's last name in my tables, the name of the place where his ancestors came from and, of course, the DNA markers themselves.I can make your participation as secure and private as you want it to be.
Here is the link that will let you join our project by ordering a DNA testing kit from Family Tree DNA.This kit will be sent out to you by mail.Once you receive it, all your son will need to do is swab his cheeks for thirty seconds each to provide the DNA sample, and then send the kit back to Family Tree DNA.

Sincerely,
James V. Elliott
