A good source of additonal haplotypes and lineages for a surname project is http://www.smgf.org. Data is in the public domain once it has been published and Ugo Perego of SMGF has stated that it is fine for surname projects to use their data. Project managers have only encountered delight by those who chance upon their data. However, there is always the chance that someone will object. I recommend a disclaimer such as, "Ugo Perego of SMGF has said that it is fine for surname projects to use their data. However, we will gladly remove the results of anyone who objects."
