Crow, Crowe, Kroh DNA testing the incredible journey of a lifetime.
Crow, Crowe, Kroh, and variations of the name, DNA testing, could it lead you and your family on the incredible journey of a lifetime?
The Crow(e) DNA Group Study Project just turned 4 years old in January 2007.We now have over 165 members, tested, or testing, with 14 Crow, Crowe, Kroh, families groups identified to date that are not related, in modern times. Many of our testers have found cousins and family members they never even knew existed before testing and matching our other testers and have made new connections to their larger DNA family. Some testers now have made connections to their mother countries across the broad Atlantic, as well.
In my own case, I wondered whom the Levi Crow was living next to my 3rd great grandfather, Samuel Crow, in 1800, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, USA, on the 2nd United States Federal Census. Two of Levi Crow’s living male descendents DNA matched mine, one at 67 of 67 Y-DNA markers, a very tight relationship as explained by our testing partner, Family Tree DNA of Houston, Texas, USA.I have since met both of my new DNA cousins and about 175+ family members at their family reunion in Dexter, Missouri, USA, in 2004.One person I missed at the Reunion was Levi Crow’s 4th great granddaughter, singer and songwriter, Sheryl Crow.Imagine being put in touch with all of these new cousins after over 200 years has passed by!That’s just a small part of my own incredible journey of a lifetime, with DNA testing mapping out the pathway for my own adventure and my cousins!
So, if you have not joined the incredible journey of a lifetime, isn’t it about time to take the first step and get tested, or have your Crow, Crowe, Kroh, family member tested and get your own pathway mapped out for your own adventure of a lifetime? To expensive you say?You must be kidding!Less than a short road trip and one night’s lodging, in most cases, and without even leaving your home!Painful? No way!A very simple swabbing of your mouths cheeks with a cotton-tipped instrument provided with the DNA collection kit from Family Tree DNA in your home or office.Collecting your own DNA takes less than 5 minutes. Results are usually known in about 6 weeks, or less, in most cases.Privacy? Please read about Family Tree DNA’s Privacy policy at: http://www.familytreedna.com/privacy.htmlhttp://www.familytreedna.com/privacy.html
