Hi Rebecca, I think you'll find your date is wrong, 1839 not 1939. I am researching this line as I have ancestry with Watson & Dixson.
Hugh & Mary Dixson had a daughter Rachael who married John Watson in 1848 in Edinburgh.
John & Rachael had a son John Dixson Watson also in Edinburgh and came to Australia.
Hugh Dixson had a Grandson {Hugh Dixson} from one of his other children, who in turn established The Dixson Library in Australia.
I have more info on this line.
