I am looking for anyone who has any info on John J. Dixon buried in the Dixon Cemetary in Stormont, Ontario Canada. He was born 1801 d. abt 1879. May have been married to a Barbara Empey b. abt 1792. Headstone says "wife of John J. Dixon) but she would have been quite a bit older than him. They had a son, John Henry Dixon b.1837 d. bef 1889. John Henry m. Mary Jane Dean in NY at the Trinity Church on Broadway and Wall St. They had 6 children in NY;Edward,Julia,Lizzibeth,Dean,James Henry(MyGGfather), and Alexander. They moved back to Canada bet 1875 when Alexander was born, and 1881, where I found them on a census with a 7th child, Orloff, who was born in Canada. I cannot find where John J. was born, other than the 1881 census stating that he was born in England.
