I'm not quite sure what your asking:) The name is German in origin, however our form has been Americanized via Ellis Island, or some other method (neighbors, friends, pronunciation, etc). Similar forms are Dietrich, Ditrick, Dietrick, or any similar combinations. In Germany our spelling should be Dietrich. I know that's very very general, but I'm not sure what your looking for.
