Ditton Family Genealogy Forum

Hi Mike - Yes I remember. I do think we are distantly related but haven't found the common denominator yet. Since our Dittons were in Indiana in same area as other Dittons believe there has to be a connectoin. Did find Benjamin! He died 7/22/1922 in Kansas City, Kansas and is buried in Maple HIll Cemetery there!
Our William was b. Woodchurch, Kent, England bet 1821-1822 and married Ann Steers also of Kent 4/1847 in Long Island, NY area. She was b. bet 1825-1826. He d. 3/20/1886 and she 4/21/1898 in Sedalia, Mo. and both are buried there. Their children: Benjamin 1/29/1848-7/22/1922, Hutson 10/15/1867-9/28/1933, Nelson 2/20/1857-8/31/1915, William R. 4/28/1863-5/29/1905. Daughters were Isabella b. 1852 and probably died bef. 1886; Mary Ann 12/3/1859-1/19/1870. There were 2 other children. Believe Benjamin may have been married after his divorce from Susan Hammond. There is an Addie Ditton in Kansas - does anyone know anyone about her? She had a daughter, Mrs. Carpenter, and believe they lived near Atchison, Kansas.
