I am trying to find the correct parents for an Alfred DITTON, born approx 1859 in WOODCHURCH, Kent, UK. He is believed to be the son of a WILLIAM DITTON, born approx 1827 to 1830. However there are two William Dittons born about this time, one the son of Robert and Catherine Ditton who had possible other children called Robert, Richard, Thomas, Daniel and others. The second William Ditton is the son of William and Elizabeth Ditton (nee BEECHING) who were married in 1822 with other children John, Robert, Isaac, James and others.
In 1852 a William Dittom married Catherine Hawkett, but do not know of the marriage of the other William Ditton. I originally thought "my" Alfred Ditton was the son of this couple, but on the Birth Cert for an Alfred Ditton born 1859 it states his parents as William and Catherine (nee Allcock)
I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks
