My mother was Louise M. (Dittmar) Boyce, born 1/30/23 in Hoboken, N. J, died 1/27/98 inLiverpool, NY after living her married life in the Watertown/Black River area of NY state. She was the daughter of William Dittmar and Grace (Lawler) Dittmar. They also had three sons; William, Frederick and George and my grandfather owned a grocery store in Hoboken or in Jersey City, I believe, in the 1930-40s. I do not know when the family originally came to the US. My mother was the youngest child. Her mother, Grace, died shortly after she was born and her father later remarried. His second wife died from a fall from a second story window while cleaning windows. I do not know her name. She had a son and daughter by a previous marriage. I believe my grandfather also may have had a sister living in Tom's River, NJ. My mother's brother William had three children; Arlene (who died in childhood), William and Gail. William had two children, Eric and Jody. Gail had three daughters. My mother’s brother George had a daughter Georgette and a son, Georgie. Her brother Frederick died in his twenties I think.
She married my father, Leonard Francis Boyce in 1948.
