James,
My sister Kris and I have been pursuing our history for quite some time. We have both moved from the Dubuque area, she in South Dakota and I in Nebraska. I make more frequent trips home and made a side trip to Elizabeth. There I photographed headstones and put our puzzle together from there. I knew our great grandfather John Valentine Meyer(brother of Frank) had been born in Elizabeth,IL and then moved to Dyersville, IA. I also did some research at Galena's library. My sister, Kris later traveled to Elizabeth and Galena and did further research there, too.
What information can we exchange?
I would love to see your photos, do you have them scanned into you computer? Are you still local to the Elizabeth area?
