Michael Meyer,
We have quite a bit of Dittmar Family information dating back to 1827, including family portriat and reunion picturesfrom the early 1890's. My great grand mother and your great aunt Mary Catherine Dittmar were sisters. Frank Myer married Mary Dittmar on May 25, 1886. they were married by Father Antle in Elizabeth, IL.(probably io Sacred heart Church). Your aunt Alta Meyer (married Ervin Spoerl) was named after my grand mother Alta Dittmar Fox Smith.We have a family reunion picture taken in Woodbine, IL. on the Dittmar farm in 1910 showing all of the family together. Frank Meyer Sr. and Frank Meyer Jr. and Aunt Mary are in this picture. We have more information about the Meyer branch of the family, and would be interested in up dating this information.
We have followed the Dittmar family back to Prussia to the 1820's, to Adolph and Eva Dittmar in the berg of
Flohin Kurhessen. That is were my search is centered at this time.
