I believe your grandfather was my stepfather's brother. The William Stanley Dittman (Stan as his siblings called him) that I am thinking of was the oldest son of Joseph and Elsie Kline Dittman and was born in Beaver Twp., Clarion Co., PA about 1895 . He did run away from home, he was married to a woman named Thompson and I only know of two sons, Merle and Ray.
Before my stepfather Franklin Leroy Dittman died in 1965, Stan's second wife Georgianna came to PA to visit. She was accompaned by her son , I can't remember his name, and his family, I believe the son's wife was called Dinks, I think. Stan had died before that.
I don't have a lot on the Dittman family but I can probably find out some for I have a stepbrother that lives about 30 miles away.
