In a report from the Pittsburgh Catholic
Diocesan Archives I have a baptizmal record:
"St. Philomena Church; Ann Theres, born 20 Dec 1865; baptized 24 Dec 1865; father: Joh H. DITTMAN, Hanover; mother: Elis Pottininger, Westphalen; sponsor: Jos Friedr DITTMAN." Jos. Friedr. DITTMAN is my great grandfather. Could our John DITTMAN be one
and the same?
