Jerry, my name is Troy Ritter Smitherman. My father was Alton Ritter, his parents were, Augustus Windfield Ritter and Deller Jane Dison Ritter.Deller was b. in Clay Co. Al. in 1879. Her father and his brother, Silas and Felix Dison came to Texas to elude the law. Seems they were into boot legging and one of them had shot a goverment man (as the story goes) my grandmother told of her father putting pepper in his shoes to throw the dogs off his trail. They are buried in Falls Co. Texas. Her brothers name was William (Dad referred to him as Uncle Will). He had a son called Bud. I have heard that Bud married a girl by the name of Paulette (from Germany) that she lives around Tyler, Tx. and she has three sons living nearby too. I have not been in touch with them but will soon. You stated you had lots of pictures. Does your line tie in with ours? If so I would love to have copies and any info you might be able to share with us. my e/mail address is:regal1020@hotmail.com Thank you, Troy
