My great-great grandfather, Kelan Jackson Dishman, was Jefferson B. Dishman's brother. They had a sister also. Her name was Katie Dishman. I do not know the name of these three Dishmans'father, but their mother's name was Lydia Dishman. After she gave birth to the three Dishman children, she married a man named William Morgan, and they had several children. They moved to Missouri from Wayne County, Kentucky in the 1850's. Both Kelan and Jefferson served in the Union Militia during the Civil War. I believe Jefferson received a pension because of injuries he sustained as a result of his military service. In the complete pension file on Jefferson Dishman I believe there is a good deal of family information about his wife and children. I am fairly busy right now, but I would be willing to see what I can find on Jefferson B. Dishman if you would like me to. Just let me know.
