Rusty, I have a few notes from my Dishman research on a ERRITT MELVIN DISHMAN born 15 Sep 1892 in Lexington, Lafayette, MO. I show he is son of William Errit Dishman and Anna Vertris Brown. He has a brother Alfred B. Dishman born May 1895 MO. They are found in 1900 Ray Co Mo [listed as stepsons of Jacob D. Meyers] and 1910 Hardin, Ray Co census. Erritt married ISA LELA BRASHEAR Jun 1911 in Hardin, Ray, MO. and had a daughter, Gertrude Denna Melvinea Dishman born 2 Jul 1912 in Hardin.
The 1880 Ray County MO census shows WILLIAM M. DISHMAN, age 6 [b 1874 MO] of Crooked River, Ray Co., In Soundex T-758 Roll 25 Vol 28 ED 141 St 6 Ln 31. Listed as Grandson of THOMPSON BURNESS. The only other DISHMAN listed in Crooked River is NELSON DISHMAN, age 33 [b 1847 MO] and LAURA DISHMAN, age 24 [b 1856 MO] with children: GEORGE E., age 7; ORA, son age 4; CLARA, age 1. Also found in same Soundex St 5 Ln 35.
*ARCHA DISHMAN married LOUISA JANE LAWSON on 13 Jan 1872 in Ray Co MO. Have no idea how they might all connect at this point, but am interested in comparing notes.
*The Lafayette County, MO Marriage Records book REF977.845 Vol 3, p 367 lists: 30 Sep 1891 WILLIAM M. DISHMAN mar ANNIE V. BROWN. G.M. Goode. Mrs. MARY BURRISS, mother of William Dishman, gave consent.
