I'm not sure. I do have information that John Dishman b. October 5, 1791, Bedford, Va; d. February 17, 1879, Martin County Indiana; m. Mahala Boone october 25, 1815 in Pulaski County, KY could be the son of Jeremiah Dishman and Nancy Ann Miller.

It could be that John named his daughter after his sister. I haven't been able to find out for sure.
