Attention John C. Dirksen who posted on 9-6-99:
Nice to hear from you. My Dirksens came to America from Germany. I have been unsuccessful in obtaining information from that country so I have no way of knowing if Germany is where it all started, or another country is the origin. I'm still looking however, so don't lose heart, with a name as uncommon as DIRKSEN, we all have to connect somehow.
