Hello:
My Great Grandmother Sara Thiessen Derksen, was a grand niece to Peter E. Tieszen (Thiessen). Her father was Jacob Abraham L. Thiessen married to Anna F S Kunkel. When my Great Grandmother married My Great Grandfather they spelt their name as Thiessen. It is very interesting that the Derksen/Duerksen/Doerksen name supposidly originated in the Netherlands. I would love to find out more.
