Ferdi, Anton and a "brother" John, immigrated to the USA from Northern Germany (Gronau, Westfalen) in the 1850's, they settled in Springfield, Illinois. Anton had 9 children, 7 of which lived to adulthood. I have not been able to trace the family any further in Germany. I do know that the family was catholic and used 19th century Naming Patterns.
