Mr. Leddy was born in Epping on Feb. 22, 1931, the son of the late John S. and Victorine B. (DION) Leddy. Raised in Epping, he attended Epping schools and St. Michael School in Exeter. He was a 1950 graduate of Exeter High School. He attended St. Philip Neri Latin School in 1951, St. Thomas Seminary in 1952 and was a 1959 graduate of St. Anselm College, and attended Christ the King seminary in 1960. He resided in Hampton for many years before moving to North Hampton in 2001. A veteran of the Korean conflict, he served with the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1955. He was a platoon sergeant with Company E of the 15th Infantry Regiment and was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. Mr. Leddy worked several years as assistant director of Camp Union in Greenfield, where he taught outdoor education and conservation. He later taught high school Latin in Deep River, Conn., and Lincoln, and at Mascoma Regional High School in Canaan, and Raymond High School. He retired in 1979 after working 12 years as an employment counselor for the New Hampshire Department of Employment Security. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish in Hampton, where he served as an Eucharistic Minister and a Stevens Minister. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, the Order of Hibernians, the Knights of Columbus, the 3rd Order of St. Francis, and the Men of St. Joseph. Family members include his wife of 24 years, Elaine A. (Barrett) Leddy of North Hampton; a son, Chris J. Jacobs of Newmarket; four daughters, Sara T. Barrett of Cape Town, South Africa, Mary Joellen McGlone of Santa Barbara, Calif., Mary T. Guillemette of West Newbury, Mass., and Michaela Ann Cote of Newmarket; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, John S. Leddy of Florida, James A.
