Hi,
My name is Ron Dinwiddie. My wife and I have become quite interested in our family histories. My great grandfather's name was William Reed Dinwiddie, b. 1849 in Sheboygan County, WI. According to 1850 Census records for this county, there was a William Dinwiddie who was listed as 2 years of age in a family headed by a Robert Dinwiddie. This Robert was 50 years of age in the 1850 Census which would indicate he was born in about 1800. The Census listed his birthplace as Virginia. He married a Susan (or Susanna) Bradly from Maryland in Union, Union County, Ohio in 1823. They moved to Sheboygan County, Wisconsin in about the year 1846. Although I haven't yet checked with any County Vital Records offices, I feel fairly confident that this Robert was my great great grandfather. Do you know anything about him and/or possibly his ancestry? If not, perhaps you could refer me to another geneologist who can help me? Thanks much.
