His last name is also known as Dunwoody. He was in Conococheague Country in Pa., (formerly in Lancaster, now in Franklin Co.) He bought, 23 Sept 1771, 191 acres of land on both sides of Reedy Creek at the head; 22 May 1773 bought 20 acres on both sides of Falling River. These tracts were in a part of Bedford Co., which is now in Campbell Co., VA He served in the war of the Revolution and was in the Battle of Guilford Court House.
