Your Hardaway is connected to William Dinwiddie and Frances Hunter in Campbell Co., VA. See book "Dinwiddie Family Records" by Elizabeth Holliday. Pub. in 1954. This family is well documented in VA. YES!! The Dinwiddies are very Scot. originally from Dumphries (the Border country) They have been a Sept of the Clan Maxwell since the mid 1300's. The ime/Life "Civil War Series" has a picture of Hardaway with his VMI class.
