James Dinwiddie, 1746-1815, scientist and itinerant lecturer in Britain, Ireland, China and India; I know a lot about his career, and I'd be glad to swap info-- I'd like to find his personal papers and get information about his family, possibly get in touch with any descendants. I don't know his wife's name, or what children he had. His grandson's surname was Proudfoot. Dinwiddie was born in Dumfriesshire, Scotland, and died in London. I'm not related--I'm doing research on him
