In the book, Robert Dinwiddie, Servant of the Crown, written by John Richard Alden and published by The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, Virginia, on page 117, is written:
"There are now no direct descendants of Robert Dinwiddie. His older daughter Elizabeth died a sppinster at the age of 35...Rebecca Dinwiddie married...but she had no children."
