Can anyone help?
I get so tantalisingly near the answer.
My father always said I was descended from Gov. Robert Dinwiddie. We had a picture of him with his signature(a print I'm sure).
My grandmother's Remembrance Book (1852) contains a number of Dinwiddies' birthdays - who are they?
I am told that one of Gov. Dinwiddie's daughters married a 'King'(surname!) from Gibraltar - she (i.e. the daughter)was my Grandmother's mother.WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GOVERNOR'S DAUGHTERS? Is any of this true?
