This memo is directed to all who are reserching Johann Daniel and Maria Ursula Dinkle (any spelling) of York PA.
Sevaral have made reference to a Spangler book which I assume to be "Spangler Fimilies"by Edward W.Spangle. They would do well to obtain copies of applicable pages of
"Genealogical Records of George Small, Phillip Albright, Johann Daniel Dunckel, William Geddes Latimer, Thomas Bartow, John Reid, Daniel Benezet, John Crommelin, Joel Richardon " compiled by Samuel Small. and Published by
J.B.Lippincot, Philadelphia, in 1905,OCLC No. 9216707 .
There are copies in Rochester Public Library, State Library of Pennsylvania, Juniata College , and Free Library of Philadelphia.
York Historical Library in York PA also has a copy and would copy pages for a modest fee. Applicable pages for Dinkle are pages 124 thru 137 plus an unnumbered illustration. York Historical Society also has a folder of related clippings etc. There are unsupported statements in the Small book, but the paragraphs from the Spangler book quoted in the Small book are mostly unsupported hearsay.
