Dear Maggie, Much information you gave me! I am not sure where you saw I mentioned a Hannah...I am Peter J. Dinkle's great, great, great, great (I think it may be one more great) granddaughter. The McCardell women you listed from the DAR book are my cousins. Here is my line: Johann Daniel Du/inkle married Mary Ursalsa von Ernst. They had Peter J. Dinkle, who married Elizabeth Wolf(e). Peter and Elizabeth's daughter SARAH married John Eichelberger. SARAH DINKLE and John Eichelberger had a daughter ANNA MARIA Eichelberger. ANNA MARIA Eichelberger married Richard Pindell McCardell. Richard and ANNA MARIA Eichelberger had a son Ambrose Duhammel McCardell and he married Cecelia Agnes Oliver. They had a son Ernest Francis who married Vertie W. Brown. They had a daughter Catherine Ellen McCardell who married John Hiram Cobourn. They had a son Arthur and Arthur married Phyllis Krauk and had me. Do you know anything on Elizabeth Wolf? I have been stumped on the Eichelbergers and the Wolfs. I was wondering if the Eichelbergers are the same ones I read about in annals of York County. As for the Wolfs, there are many of them mentioned as Revolutionary War heroes. Am curious of them also. I read somewhere that Johann Daniel Dunckle died at sea. I take it then that the information you sent me...he died here in America? I am really thankful for what you have sent me...Thanks a million! Of what nobility were the Di/unkles and the Von Ernsts? Interesting all of the information you sent me! I am so happy to have met you...as we are distant cousins, right?
