Hi Again Kathi. Thanks for the info. Haven't run across any Dinkins DNA project. My GGGgreat Grand Mother was Polly Price and there is a DNA project for the Price families.

My GGGgreat Gand Father had 5 sons -- four of which were in the Union Army - Civil War. Two died in Syracuse, MS of disease. The other two survived the war but were wounded.

I wrote to the government archives and received the Military records and Pension Records for them - loaded with information.

See URL:

My Father's cousin was killed at Normandy in 1944.

These and many other genealogy items are precious family heritage and should be kept for future generations.

Sooner or later I suspect we all ask where did I come from?
How did I get this goofy surname and where did it come from.

All the best
Rod Dinkins (O Duinncinn ?)
