Dingwell, Roderick, 1828 Cape Breton

I am trying to trace my background like so many others. My great great grandfather was Roderick John (Rory) Dingwall and he came to Big Bras D'or Cape Breton in 1828. I believe he was born around 1800. I don't know exactly where in Scotland he came from although I assume it was either in either of the Ross or Munro Clan areas. Any information would be helpful.
