Confusion and many dates

Thank you for the information, George. I think there may be some confusion of people. My couple may not be the ones married on 6 Aug 1843.

Here’s what I have from Canadian sources:

My Alexander Dingwall was born in 1822 in Scotland (from his Death Registration) He probably emigrated to Canada about 1863 (his widow gave that date in the 1901 Canadian census)

Wife Christina also gave her birth date as 15 Oct 1822 in that census and age 86 on her gravestone (died 9 Aug 1908). Their grave also records her name as Christina McKay with husband and "natives of Rosshire, Scotland"

The children & their birthdates listed in the 1901 census are:
Jessie born in Ontario about 1859 (1901 Census entry not yet located)
Alexander born in Ontario 11 Sep 1863
John born in Ontario 11 Aug 1866

However, graves in the same cemetery as the parents record these dates:
Jessie aged 59 years on 12 Sept 1918 (= born about 1859)
Alexander b 11 Sept 1863
John b 7 Aug 1864

Is there another Alexander married to a Christina in your research?
