Great information on this site. I am looking for the parents of Hulda Catherine Dingman who married my great grandfather Noah Elza Mills. Catherine (Kate) as she was known was born Sept. 20, 1871. We believe she could be a relative of Peter Dingman who was born 1838 and married Rachel Groves b. 1860 d. 1897.
Noah was widowed when his wife and young son George died of typhoid fever. He has another son (my grandfather) Elza. Together Noah and Kate had 9 more children - Robert, Lawrence, Erwin, Lila, Mabel, Rennie, Agnes, Herbert and Harlem. They lived in Eden Valley Minnesota.
In the spring of 1991, Agnes L. Mills Johnson of Morgan Minnesota wrote and published "Golden Memories - From My Heart to Yours" the story of her family. There was information in this book about Kate and Noah.
We found Catherine Dingman's name and birthdate in the family bible.
