The Jared Dingman (his name is actually Jacob) who married Roxy Bice, is the son of John Dingman who married Hannah Powley.John and Hannah were married on June 17, 1806 if my memory serves me correctly in Kingston.
Jacob (Jerid, Jarred)) was born in Kingston I believe in late 1806.John and Hannah took up a land grant in Darlington Township right down on the waterfront of Lake Ontario, known as the Broken Fronts.
John Dingman died suddenly in 1820, don't know why but it may have been consumption.Hannah shows up as a widow on 1821 census of Darlington Twp (and census was always done in the first month of the year).
Hannah Powley eventually remarried in 1845 I believe and she was alive for the 1851 Census I believe married to her second husband.
John and Hannah had 11 children not all accounted for according to my research.
Male children included Jacob (Jared) b. 1803;Simon (b. about 1803-04); Giles (b. 1806) moved to U.S.;, James (b. 1819) married Rachel Swears and moved to U.S.
Female Children include Charlotte Dingman (b. 1816, married George Swift and moved to Iowa); Jane Dingman (b. 1817) married George Rhemore and Mary Dingman (b. 1817) married Clark Sargeant.Mary and Jane may have been the twins on the 1824 census listed as four year olds. That 1824 Census showed 4 males, 7 females plus Hannah Powley-Dingman.
George Rhemore and Jane just up and disappear.mary Dingman and Clark Sargeant remained in Canada for a short while and then went to the States.Charlotte definitely went to the States with George Swift and ended up in Iowa.
John Dingman was apparently the son of Samuel Dingman and Mary Dingman, that ended up in Percy Township, in the Newcastle District, according to my research records.
The John Dingman (b. 1778) who married Hannah Woodcock, was a later son of Jacob Petrus Dingman and Maria Treinkia "Frankie" Cronkite (Cronkhite).
Samuel Dingman (b. 1763) and an early son of Jacob Petrus Dingman and Maria Treinkia "Frankie" Cronkite (Cronkhite) and married Mary Dingman, was the father of John Dingman (b. 1788) that married Hannah Powley.
Thus the two John Dingmans were actually first cousins but one was 10 years older than the other.

Don't have much more on these than what I have told you here.
