Looking for information about gg-grandfather, Wilson S. Dingman who was born in Ohio about 1838. Looks like he might have fought during the Civil war in both Ohio and Iowa?? I have that he married Miriam Squires from Kentucky, and they had their son Colonel DINGMAN in Benton, Ia. Colonel ran away when he was about 16 and changed his name to Charles Webster DINGMAN.
