Just thought I'd try and see what information was out there. Father was William Henry Dingman Chicago Ill. married to Helen E. Wagner, have lots of info on mothers family. Father was left in Masonic home with four brothers, Edwin, Charles, Richard, and Thomas Dingman. Their father headed west to Visalia Ca. and died there in the fifties. Other family names I know of are Wolf(e), Bineman, (not sure of spelling)Knapp. They are in the Sterling, Rockfalls Ill. area. Father was born in Kenosa Wis. to William John Dingman and I don't know his wifes name. Father died in 1963 at 51 from heart problems. Brothers number only two now and live in St. Louis Mo. and Flora Ill. Ran into a man in Riverside Ca. who was the spit'n image of one uncle but he was not happy with the resemblance and not very chatty about things this was 20 years ago, he ran an appliance repair business called Dingman's Repair. I have an older brother James Robert and a younger sister Susan Lee, both are handicaped and never married. Our mother died in 1979 at 62, I was not close and she had tossed all of fathers things out when he died, so not much to go on. I am legal guardian for siblings now. Brother is 51 and I 49 sis is 44. Well if anyone has any info I guess post it and we'll see what comes, thanks.
