Hello,
I am looking for information on a Gideon Dingman. I have a census record for Gideon living in Ogle Co., IL in 1860. I also know that Gideon enlisted in the Civil War Ranks in 1862. I also have a picture of Gideon and his Wife that was taken in Stevens Point, WI, but I have found no records yet that they actually lived there. I think that Gideon had a son Lee that worked for a railroad co. near Green Bay WI, and a daughter Hattie that married a Charles Maddy and also lived in WI. Does anyone recognize these people? I think that Gideon was either a brother or cousin of my ggg-grandfather Cornelius Dingman, who lived in Carroll Co. IL for several years.
