Howdy All-
Just to let people know, there were two Johannes Dingler's that arrived in the Colonies in the 1700's. One in 1753 on the Queen of Denmark who, I believe, went to Pennsylvania.
The other was also German and came from the Bavarian village Seyboldsdorf. The latter Johannes came over in the late 1770's as a mercenary soldier (Hessian) to fight for the British. However, he ended up fighting for Capt. Carl Marckels Troop of Light Dragoons, under Col. Armand's command. The latter Johannes married Nancy Paschall (believed to be of French Hugonaut lineage living in Granville County)in North Carolina and later moved to Elbert County, Georgia.
There has been some confusion between the two lines since they have the same name, but there are two seperate lines. Also, I believe that Elizabeth Nelson McFall falls under the latter Johannes.
