There is a vast amount of work that has been done on the Cornish Dingles with lots of trees. The theory is !! [and there is evidence]that they originally came from Sweden with the Vikings and settled at Dingley in Northants. Roundabout 13th century a branch moved to Darley in Cornwall where they became a large clan. Most of us are descended from them, but there are a few other branches in Hereford and elsewhere. If you have more information about your Richard I may be able to identify him on one of the trees. There are several Richards there. Hilary UK
